Despite scorching temperatures in the stands and on the Red Bull Global Rallycross track, the debut of the series at Daytona International Speedway did not disappoint fans. The course featured 13 turns and the longest RBGRC track layout to date including a crazy hairpin turn. After some wild semi-final heats and LCQ racing, the final had Rhys Millen earning his first Supercar and series win in his Hyundai Veloster. Ken Block finished second and Subaru Rally Team USA/Vermont SportsCar driver Bucky Lasek came in third.
The next Red Bull GRC race is a double header at the Port of Los Angeles Sept. 20-21. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the LA event site.
